Privacy notice
This is a translation of the Italian version, which prevails in case of discrepancy.
Notice pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) on the processing of data collected through the sign-up form of www.digital-twins.app and the same form in the Digital Twin app ("Request early access"). Last updated: 12 October 2026.
Data controller
Klinika di Francesco Giuseppe Falbo. For any request about your data, write to info@digital-twins.app.
What data we collect
- Required: email address, name, profile (cyclist, coach, researcher, other) and type of sign-up (early access or launch notice).
- Optional: the devices you use.
- Date and time of sign-up, confirmation and consent, with the version of the notice you accepted.
- The language of the page you signed up from, so we can write to you in that language.
To limit automated submissions we store a cryptographic fingerprint (hash) of your IP address for 24 hours, from which the address cannot be reconstructed. For site usage statistics see the "Cookies and statistics" section.
Why we use it
Only to:
- confirm your email address (we send you a confirmation link);
- contact you about early access to the app or notify you of its launch, according to the option you chose;
- if you requested early access, select participants based on profile and devices.
We do not use your data for other marketing communications, we do not sell it and we do not share it with third parties.
Legal basis
Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box in the form and confirmed through the link in the email. You can withdraw it at any time without consequences: withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Confirmed sign-ups: until the official launch of the app and for the following 12 months, or until you unsubscribe, if earlier.
Where it is stored
On the servers of IONOS SE, our hosting and email provider, which processes the data on our behalf as a data processor, in data centres in the European Union.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format (portability) or object to processing, by writing to info@digital-twins.app. To unsubscribe you can also use the link in the confirmation email.
If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of your country.
Cookies and statistics
The site uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to understand how it is visited (pages viewed, where visitors come from, device type). Google's script and its cookies (_ga and _ga_*) start only if you press "Accept" in the banner. If you decline or make no choice, no data is sent to Google and no cookie is set.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). Google processes the data on our behalf; your IP address is not logged in Analytics 4, and data may also be processed outside the European Union under the safeguards of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Measurement data is kept for 14 months at most.
You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw, we stop measuring and delete this site's Analytics cookies. The statistics are not linked to the email address in the sign-up form. The admin page and the app do not use Analytics.
Providing your data
Email, name and profile are needed to sign up: without them we cannot contact you or organise early access. Devices are optional.
